We hope you had a good summer. But let’s face it. It has been a heart-wrenching, infuriating few months in Texas, thanks to the cruelty and cravenness of our Governor and Republican legislators.
But now is not the time to give up. That is what they are counting on. That is how authoritarianism flourishes.
What we need to do is get busy. And we have just the project for all of us.
Please join us Thursday, Sept. 30 on Zoom to write letters and emails to President Joe Biden, asking him to do everything in his power to quash Texas’ suppressive voting bill by passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act.
We will have sample letters for you to follow or help you write a more personal one, which is always more effective.
